A MUST READ FOR TEEN GIRLS AND PARENTS!
As mentioned in other reviews, this book hits on important topics for any young women growing into adulthood. I had the opportunity to read this book simultaneously with my teenage daughter and found it to be a great tool in opening dialogue about topics that, at least for me, are taken for granted especially with the busy lives we lead. Mack’s voice made me laugh out load and brought me back in time with total recall at the fun but often risky behavior back in the day. It is filled with so many firsts; the first time to kiss a boy, the first time to choose whether or not to drink, the first time to wear a bikini with a maturing body and on and on. What struck me as most valuable is Mack’s ability to put words to emotions that are very difficult to acknowledge and process. She does so in an authentic and relatable way. A great read!
A must read for teens & parents! Amazing coming of age story – you won’t be able to put it down!
