Today’s inspiration: Deborah Harry, lead singer of Blondie.

Talk about the OG! Deborah Harry blazed a trail in music, fashion, and feminism. I plan to do a Deborah Harry Week in 2020, but today I will concentrate on the lyrics of Dreaming.

I sit by and watch the river flow

I sit by and watch the traffic go

There is a meditation technique where you visualize your thoughts traveling past you down a river. As your thought leaves your sight, you let go of it and move on to the next thought in front of you. We can watch our thoughts without attachment. Let them float by.

When the chatter quiets, new thoughts will emerge. IMAGINE. Let your  new thoughts float by and see what comes by next. The river’s source is ever-changing.
