Today I am stuck.
I have made a commitment to post an article every weekday. Today is Thursday, and I have started three articles, but haven’t finished a single one.
My inner-Rebel is shouting, “It’s fine if you miss a day. Don’t worry about it.”
My inner-Upholder is on the other shoulder, “You know you will be glad if you finish. Just do it!”
My inner-Questioner is rolling her eyes, “How did you decide on this schedule in the first place?”
My inner-Obliger is saying, “But you told your friends you would.”
My inner-Editor is shouting, “Don’t bore your readers with this nonsense!”
But I am stuck.
And I am wondering if I can take any of my own inspirational advice. I will leave you for a moment to choose an article. Back in a minute…
I randomly picked the post, I Got It, and the first thing that jumped out at me was the quote:
If you keep up, you will be kept up. –Yogi Bhajan
I will interpret this to mean that now is a time to keep up. I hear the Universe telling me to stick with it.
And so…
Today’s inspiration: Look for a sign
How to use it: When you are stuck, look for guidance. Find a tether. Find inspiration.
Example: Above! I was stuck. No post to write. No motivation to write it. I turned to my personal toolbox for inspiration and I found Yogi Bhajan’s quote in my own post. I had been trying to talk myself out of a goal I had set, and the quote reminded me that the reason I set this goal was because I believe in the power of consistency. And so I persevered!
To you, and to myself, I say…
Keep up the good work. The Universe has your back.
Be inspired. Go forth. Create your day.
